In 2016, Chopard presented the L.U.C Full Strike model, the first minute repeater watch. The result of more than six years' work totalling 17,000 hours of development, this chiming watch equipped with a monobloc sapphire gong/crystal system was acclaimed the following year by the "Aiguille d'Or" best-in-show award at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. Today, the workshops are once again demonstrating their genius through a trilogy of new creations testifying to their perfect expertise in the field of chiming watches.
A trio of chiming watches, endorsed by musical prodigies Renaud and Gautier Capuçon. Drawing on their artistic sensitivity to fine-tune the sound produced by the Chopard-patented sapphire gong technology, the approach was approved by the Applied Acoustics Laboratory of the Geneva engineering school HEPIA.
